André Goris was appointed hospital pharmacist in 1899. He had a strong contribution during WWI by developing sterile chirurgical material. He became director of the Pharmacie Centrale des Hôpitaux in Paris in 1925. He was professor from 1924 to 1941.

This medal was struck in 1935 when Pr Goris was elected at the French Academy of Medicine.
