Paul Dorveaux became physician in 1880. Found of books, he became librarian of the Paris School of Pharmacy in 1884. He was one of the founder of the Société d’Histoire de Pharmacie in 1913 and president of the Société d’Histoire de la Médecine. He was considered as one of the most renown specialists of medical history in France.
