The Société des pharmaciens du département de la Seine was founded on December 27, 1819. In 1824, was created a sister society aimed to help the pharmacists and their families undergoing financial difficulties.

The present token was used between 1853 and 1893.

Two marks exist: hand (1845-1860) and bee (1860-1879)
