This medal was struck in 1902 to celebrate the centennial of the society.
The Société Libre des Pharmaciens de Rouen et de la Seine Inférieure was founded in 1802 to protect the pharmacists of the Rouen (Normandy) area. The aims of the society were to sue the false pharmacists and druggists, promote the pharmaceutical sciences, organize local congresses and provide charity.
