Prize medal awarded by the American Pharmaceutical Association and named after Albert Ethelbert Ebert (1840-1906). Ebert was born in Germany but came to America when he was one year old. He studied pharmacy in Chicago, then in Philadelphia and finally in Munich where he got his Ph.D. After spending some years in Europe, he came back to Chicago where he opened his own drugstore.

He founded the Ebert prize in 1873, which is the oldest pharmacy award in the US.

The medal shown was awarded in 1926.
